to Benefit the American Heart Association
Rules/Player Code of Conduct
1. Grade 5&6 and Grade 7&8 grade separate tournaments. Students select their own team of 3 players - at least one boy and one girl must be on the team. Tournament brackets will be determined after the deadline for teams: Once the team/team name is submitted, teams are final, no changes will be accepted. There is a student donation of $5 per player ($15 per team for the American Heart Association). Please note that some teams may get a “bye”, depending on the number of teams listed per grade level.
2. Games will have at least one referee. Both sides of gym will be used during the event (Grade 5&6 on one side, Grade 7&8 on the other).
3. All games will be running time, depending on total number of teams in attendance. The team with the highest score at the end of allotted time moves on in the bracket. In the event of a tie, there will be a quick free-throw shoot-out with a designated player.
4. Good sportsmanship and safe play must be demonstrated at all times or player will be asked to leave the event.
5.All participants must remain in the bleachers if team is not in play.
